WHAT TO DO WHEN BABY CRIES                                                     Back To Resources

One of the hardest things for parents to deal with is a crying baby. Most babies have a fussy period towards the end of the day, until they are about four months old. When you first hear the baby cry, check to make sure his or her basic needs are met. Does the diaper need changing? Are they hungry?

Some babies seem to console themselves and stop crying quickly. Other babies may cry a lot. This may be exhausting for the baby and frustrating for the parent. There are some things that may help. Start with the simplest things and move on to other techniques as necessary.
