IMPACT

IMPACT

IMPACT is Child's Hope early literacy program for preschoolers. It is located on the University of Michigan-Dearborn's campus.

FOCUS

IMPACT aims to mentor at-risk preschoolers and give them the building blocks and tools they need to be not only successful in the classroom, but also in life.
Mentors focus on these key areas in each lesson plan:

  • Language
  • Literacy
  • Math
  • Science
  • Social Skills

MENTORS

This is a work-study position available to college students from any major.
Students are recruited from the following colleges:

  • University of Michigan-Dearborn
  • Henry Ford Community College
Each mentor becomes a part of the AmeriCorps program, and is eligible for a $1,000 education award upon completion of the 300 hours.
